I am cautiously optimistic that you all have your presentations ready for tonight.  I was expecting some emails regarding the presentations but I have only received one.  At the beginning of class tonight I will go over how to take your assessment and embed it on your blog. . .I will also show you how to embed your presentation on your blog depending on the tool that you used.

This Week/Tonight:  We will be doing our presentations and subsequent assessments.  I will also go over a new assignment: the collaborative CyberSafety resource using Google Sites!  These last two assignments have been new versions of old assignments.  I am excited to see the results I get from you all!

TaskStream:  I have given feedback to all of the TaskStream narratives that were submitted.  Some were awesome and some were. . .ah, um, had great personalities.  I expect that you will take a look at the comments and revise accordingly.  There are also a few student groups who stood out and I hope to make those samples available to the rest of the class (with their permission).

  6. I would tell teachers that I'm quiet. But even though I don't participate a whole lot I listen to everything the professor and other classmates say. Even though it may seem like I'm just taking up a seat I really hear everything said and do learn a ton...even if I am not actively participating.

  21. Every teacher should know that during class time I dislike taking notes from a slide show with a passion. I believe it is more important to listen and understand what the teacher is lecturing than wasting class time copying down notes like crazy. Teachers should always have their slide shows available to their students so that learners like me can review and take notes on the material in their own time. Personally, I feel I learn better this way and make my time at school more useful. This is because if I am there writing down everything from the slide, it takes too much of my attention and I wont even pay attention to the teacher is saying; the worst part is that sometimes I cant even read what I wrote. Having the slides available is useful because I can review the material and take notes at my own pace. I want teachers to know that this is my style of learning and that even though I may not write down the notes in class i will evntuallybut that i am making use of my time by listening and paying attention to them and writing important points not in the slides.

  25. I get super nervous when presenting in front of the class, to the point where I shake! Also, that I day dream a lot during class.... I have a very short attention span. but the good things are, I love learning something new, I appreciate a well prepared instructor, and no matter how much of a procrastinator I am, I will always do my best to get my work done on time, even if that means staying up all night to finish.
