OKay, I am running a bit behind this week. I will usually try and get the weekly post up Sunday evening or Monday at the latest. This holiday weekend seemed to consume me. Both my girls played in soccer tournaments at two different locations. . .Anyway, this week we will settle in to the course discuss how to submit assignments, more about navigating the class blog, your web presence and networking. . .I will have you all tweeting by the end of the evening. . .
Goals to Finish today: the Intro Letter and peer comments, have your subscriptions to TaskStream and ISTE and, oh yes, that Twitter account!
Tonight: I want to ensure everyone feels comfortable with Moodle (Cougar Courses), the class blog, and managing all of your accounts. I will also introduce the Journal Article 1-5 assignment, the scanning assignment, and if time permits, the Newsletter.

This week's Question: What is your current favorite musician or musical group? I would say Radiohead is my favorite, but I have been listening to Phoenix, Mumford and Sons, and Broken Bells a lot lately. . .
My favorite artist would have to be Lil Weezy...but i respect alot of groups like Rascal Flats.. Listen to pretty much everything!
ReplyDeleteugh, I am a horrible music person. I am one of those people who might know all the words and sing along but I have no idea who it is or the name of the song. I am also the indecisive person that likes a little of every genre and a couple artist from each. I listen to music depending on my mood. My first concert was Simon and Garfunkel. I think Sarah Berellis is in my cd player right now and Usher is most recent on my ipod. I honestly do not have one favorite artist. I have been to a radio head concert before and it was quite amazing.

ReplyDeleteA favorite musician or even musical group that is really hard, I don't think I can choose just one:/ But I guess I will always have to go with a classic band that I can listen to anytime which would have to be No Doubt, mostly the early years, tragic kingdom please:))
ReplyDeleteI have tons of favorite bands, but the one band that I never ever ever get sick of is Lagwagon.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite band is The Counting Crows. I know, a little old school. But their music is amazing and they are a group of incredibly talented musicians. Rarely do I put anything else in my CD player but when I do it's usually from the 90's. I love The Gin Blossoms, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Hootie and the Blowfish, and of course the old school classics like Tom Petty and The Eagles.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite musical group as of right now is Lady Antebellum and Ingrid Michaelson. I've been listing to them a lot recently.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I will be a minority when it comes to music and who listens to what... which is ok with me :) My current favorite artist is a band called 'Jesus Culture'. My all time favorite artist is 'Toby Mac', and I'm pretty sure that will never change, its just the little girl in me to keep listening to him. But, I will really listen to any genre... including screamo bands...like 'Emery'

ReplyDeletei do not think that i have a favorite band because i am always listening to something different each day. Lately i have been listening to oldies and enjoy a lot of classic rock, Pink Floyd, and CCR are pretty good bands, so are the Animals. Some more modern music i enjoy is Rise Against and A7X. Oh and i also love Daft Punk.
ReplyDeleteI have so many favorite musicians that it is hard to chose, but lately i have been really loving the band Train. They are coming to perform really soon in the san diego area and i plan on going to see them!
ReplyDeleteThe Offspring has been one of my top favorite bands since high school. Other than that, I like to listen to MGMT, Jason Mraz, Arctic Monkeys, Queen, and the Beatles.

ReplyDeleteI listen to mostly rock n roll. Everything from oldies to metal. Some of my favorite bands over the years have been Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Grateful Dead and System of a Down. Lately I have been listening to Offspring and Tool.

ReplyDeleteI am very eclectic when it comes to music. I like everything from rock to classical. If I can sing with it or dance to it, then I will probably like it. My favorite bands are offspring, blink 182, green day, and social distortion.

ReplyDeleteLos Tigres del Nortes. They are a mexican group and have a corrido style. They are my favorite ones because they sing about true political stories.
