I have graded everything that has been submitted for the first time. I will be catching up on my re-grading this week. There are quite a few of you who seem to be further behind than I would like to see this late in the semester. Please communicate with me if there are technical, personal, or other issues that are dragging you down.
Tonight: We are going to be creating PSAs (Public Service Announcements) about our lovely CSUSM campus using iMovie. This is one assignment that, if you don't have your own Mac, you will be doing exclusively in class. There should be no reason you shouldn't finish this evening. Remember to bring your headphones, and if you like, some .mp3s of your favorite music and/or some pictures of CSUSM life to incorporate into the PSA. I will provide video, music, and some photos, but you are welcome to bring your own to personalize the project. If you have your own MacBook, I suggest you bring it as well, so you can work on this after your leave class if you need to.
This Week's Question: What has been your most challenging assignment in this class and why?
The most challenging for me has been the Taskstream/Nets-1 assignment. We've had to make changes to it several times. Not sure why its so difficult, it seems pretty straight forward. Hope to to better on the last three Nets!
ReplyDeleteI find that the PLN assignment has been the most challenging. The task is pretty straight foward, however I find it challenging for some reason. Maybe it is because I keep on reading into it to much.
ReplyDeleteThe Taskstream NETS-1 assignment has been unpleasant, I've made changes with the NETS-T by my side, so I am hoping NETS 1 and 3-5 are correct. The real challenge is time management and making use of the instructor's feedback.
ReplyDeleteThe most challenging assignment by far in this class for me was creating the PLN. I think it's because I am not use to the whole Twitter thing yet and following people. I am still learning and being more open minded.

ReplyDeleteThe PLN has been the most challenging assignment for me. There are two reasons, one is I missed that class and secondly, Twitter and Delicious are not my friends.
ReplyDeleteThe Taskstream NETS-T 1 narratives has been very challenging. I have had to revise NETS-T 1 multiple times and I am hoping to get a solid finished narrative soon. I am also hoping the narratives for 3-5 turn out better on the first try.
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree that the PLN assignment has been most difficult, only because it's tough to get into the swing of Twitter. It can be nerveracking to participate in a chat, but it's helpful to practice so I can get a feel for the networking power of Twitter. I want to want to like Twitter (yes that's typed correctly!) so this a good trial run.
ReplyDeleteThe PLN and nets are trying to me because I dont plan on having my own classroom and I find it difficult to keep focus on the assignments.

ReplyDeleteThe Prezi has been the most challenging assignment because I had never used it and I had no idea how to start. The zoom and opening the account was all new to me and it was different that anything else I had done in any course.
ReplyDeleteThe most challenging for me was creating the PLN. Seems strange because it only involved writing rather than embedding codes and all of the, what would seem, more complicated things we've done thus far this semester. I just am not very Delicious savvy or Twitter savvy. I bet if I invested more time in really becoming familiar with the programs it wouldn't be as bad...I just haven't found the time yet!

ReplyDeleteThe most challenging this semester was creating a PLN. I felt like it was a lot of processes and a lot to follow and I still felt like I didn't know what I was doing or who I was following. I understand what a PLN is but it is a process creating my own and I don't know what it takes to follow it, stay up to date in it etc.
ReplyDeleteThe whole class is a challenge and i would say the hardest part about it would have to be the Taskstream Nets Narratives.
ReplyDeleteWell I would say the prezi assignment but that was mainly due to the fact that I was learning how to use it without a mouse. So instead I will say the NETS-T narrative just because I had a hard time identifying my artifacts for some reason. Plus writing is not my best attribute.
ReplyDeleteThe Taskstream narratives have been a challenge for me. I have made several corrections and still needs work. I have trouble with computers so the assignments take a little more time for me to complete than they should:/
ReplyDeleteThe hardest assignment for me has been the TASK Narratives because I feel like I am writing to much fluff and not sure what to leave out! It was hard just getting to the point and not so much creative writing:)

ReplyDeleteI don't think there has been "one" specific assignment that has been more or less difficult than the others. It has been the combination of assignments that have been hard to get done on time and in quality.
ReplyDeleteI think that all the assignments, since they are all tedious although some less then others they are very time consuming and make getting through them a little bit of a pain. the one assignment where i got completely thrown off on was the TASK narratives, i felt like i was doing the right thing, and then had to completely change it. And on top of that writing isn't fun.
ReplyDeleteSo far, it's been the NETS assignment. I think part of the reason why it's difficult is because it isn't appealing to me like some of the other more creative assignments. I prefer doing things like prezi as opposed to writing.

ReplyDeleteI found the Taskstream narratives to be the most challenging so far. The nets-1 was challenging because it didn't come out well on the first try, and even revising it was difficult, and writing isn't one of my biggest strengthens.
ReplyDeleteThe most challenging assignments have been the PLN and the task stream narratives. the PLN was not difficult but it was very time consuming... the narratives where challenging because we had to re-vise make changes and re write..
